Do you know what this is? The first harvest of our summer!
Not only did I pick a large bowl of lettuce,
I also found 10 ripe strawberries!
Sadly for the rest of the family, 5 of them fell into my mouth before
I got them in the door.
I made the lettuce into a salad using beef left over from Sunday, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and a zippy Asian dressing.
Predictably, Makayla dug right into the lettuce,
while Hailey, girl after my own heart, chowed down on the homemade bread.
