It was a dark and stormy day....and then Megan graduated.
Typically, I try to get an "outside, pre-graduation graduate picture". It is pouring rain today, so we settled for a quick-pic-on-the-covered-porch shot.
We got there an hour before graduation started. All the good seats were already gone. I guess we should have slept there last night.
Waiting for the fun to start.
Here they come! Even though they are graduates, they apparently need that girl in the front to tell them where to walk and where to sit.
I see her! She's the one wearing that blue rain hat and ill-fitting robe with a gold curtain tieback around her neck!
There she goes!
The all-important blurry close-up.
Next came awards, speeches, songs, speeches, songs, speeches, blah blah, and oh look! There's Megan on picture right headed up the stairs!
They're handing her a diploma! She DID pass Anatomy!
And could it be? She made it down the stairs without tripping!
The class of 2011 is coordinated, too. They all switched their tassels from left to right TOGETHER!
First glimpse of our new grad!
The Jones girls.
Megan and her old fogey parents.
Megan and her young fogey sister Jessica
and Shelly,
Sadly, I didn't get a good picture of Megan and the normally awake Pearsons.
Some people got really good seats for the event.
Here's Megan and that guy who was telling her rabbit stories at her open house.
Megan is off to a day of parties, followed by the all-nighter at the school. Happy Graduation, Megan! We are SO proud of you!

Congrats all. Megan for graduating and the rest of the family for surviving all the speeches! :)
Megan, in spite of your tiny size, you stood out. Was it the spotlight your parents were shining on you or the megaphones that your sisters used to call your name? Congratulations!
Very nice to see all of the girls together. How did you pull that off? End of a wonderful era.
